Hello! If you’ve reached this page it is likely you’ve been reached out by us or by our friend Ablaa Alaghwani from Gaza. My name is Saige Stittsworth, I am from a city called Olympia, WA, based in the United States. I met Ablaa in the Spring of 2024 when she reached out for help with creating a campaign to help cover necessary food and medical costs while her family tries to survive in the Gaza strip. Since we’ve made contact, we’ve been organizing an ongoing campaign to help raise funds for her and her family.

Introduction

Ablaa’s family was forced to flee their home at the beginning of the war in 2023. They’ve sought shelter in cramped tents, at the mercy of the elements, contamination, injury, and illness, with no reliable or source of food, water, or medicine.

In Spring of 2025, Ablaa announced her pregnancy, and the rising need for funds to cover costs such as vitamins, blood pressure medication, and doctor’s appointments when possible.

Your donations will go toward: – Ablaa herself, who is battling malnutrition and high blood pressure whilst pregnant ($10,000 pregnancy fund) – Father-in-law battling chronic heart disease – Sister-in-law with cerebral palsy – Two small children in need of food, medicine, and diapers. As well as another baby on the way – And six more adult family members

Cost Breakdown (Calculated July 2025)

To survive the next six months as of Spring of 2025, Ablaa’s family will need another $67,500 USD.

– Food & water for nine people: $14,400 – Infant formula: $600 – Diapers: $2,400 – Hygiene: $2,400 – Medicine for the whole family: $900 – Miscellaneous (internet, electricity, transportation, clothes, firewood): $3,580 – Pregnancy Fund for Ablaa (medication, vitamins, appointments): $10,000 – Emergency Displacement Fund: $4,500 – Transfer Fees: $41,220

We already raised around $10,000, thus our current goal is $70,000 USD ($80,000-$10,000)

Your funds go towards fulfilling the immediate needs of the family as we wait for evacuation, which is not currently available.
